Philippe Mongrain is a PhD student at the department of political science at the Université de Montréal. He has written an MA thesis on the strengths and limitations of different approaches to forecast elections and has developed a model to forecast the outcome of Canadian elections. For this project, he obtained the Joseph-Armand Bombardier scholarship of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) in 2015 and an MA-scholarship of the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture (FRQSC) in 2016. Philippe holds a PhD scholarship from the FRQSC.
